Red potatoes presoaked in rosemary & garlic olive oil. You could use pasta or rice mix, lentils or beans as your starch. Veggie platters were ½ off so we bought two, utilizing: baby carrots, sugar snap peas & celery — pre-washed & sliced. Cobbed corn. Tri-colored squashes: deep forest green, speckled moss & sunray yellow.
The seeds are my herbal expansion experiment beyond black pepper; they’re crushed cumin seeds which are like a zesty/limey pepper, added at the table. I tried to keep the recipe basic, the falling apart of the chicken is the most important thing in making broth — unlocking the “secrets” in her bones which really do heal — colds & coughs especially.
