The fridge as curiosity cabinet in an artist and designer’s well-curated Pennsylvania home.
From the New York Times:
[J. Morgan] Puett sees the refrigerator as just as valid a territory for thoughtful arrangement as any other part of the house. “It’s a really fun game,” she said. “It makes moving through the banalities of life stimulating.”
This makes me doubt that Ms. Puett does much cooking, and not just because she considers food one of the “banalities of life.” (Gasp.) Those eggs look like they’ve never been grabbed as the frying pan heats up. And who keeps a half-eaten drumstick on a hanky?
Maybe I’m just resentful because it’s all I can do to give my fridge an occasional wipe-down with a damp cloth.
