Someone wrote to me with this question:

I need some meals to replace pasta as an easy and quick meal that’s filling that I can whip up fairly quickly/easily. Suggestions?

The first thing I thought of was Mark Bittman’s goldmine: 101 recipes in 10 minutes or less. Like real — interesting, delicious, filling — recipes. It was published last summer, so many of the recipes require minimal stove/oven time. Crucial as that mercury creeps up.
