Chocolate Torte
As promised my Chocolate Torte recipe. Though I would like to point out I didn’t make the pastry case, I bought them ready made, the pastry is almost a shortbread, like a biscuit.
One 10” pastry flan, 12 portions.
125 ml Double Cream
50 ml Whole Milk
125 g Dark Chocolate / White Chocolate
1 Egg Yolk
Break up the chocolate and place in a bowl.
Mean while in a saucepan bring to steaming the double cream & whole milk, do not boil!.
Pour the hot cream & milk over the chocolate and blend together till smooth.
Whisk in the egg yolk.
Pour the mixture into the ready made pastry flan and leave in the fridge to cool. When I made this yesterday I allowed it an hour at room temperature before serving.
