Tonight, in remembrance of Sheila Lukins — the co-author of The Silver Palate Cookbook and The New Basics Cookbook who passed away this weekend — I plan on making the soufflé that opened my eyes wide to the pleasures of preparing and sharing special food with the people you love.
But if you cook one thing from Sheila’s repertoire, make it Chicken Marbella. It’s divine.
