Barbecue Photo Friday

How about a new tradition? I’ve collected a bunch of photos of barbecues and grills from around the internet—just because they’re so darn cool—so I’ll post one every Friday. We’ll start off at the beginning—with some seriously old-school barbecue. This is more roasting than barbecue, but these natives had a word that sorta sounded like “barbecue” and is probably the ancestor of the word we use today.

This is from a series of drawings Jacques LeMoyne made in 1564 which were later turned into engravings.
